New features
Clone a single persons schedule to another day – To simplify the scheduling process, it is now possible to clone a single day of a person's schedule and paste it to another selected day(s) for the same person.
Clone the schedule for all people to another day – To simplify and speed up the schedule creation process, it is now possible to bulk clone the schedule for all people and apply the daily schedule to another selected day(s).
Create a schedule from a template – A new schedule can be now created based on an existing one. On the first screen of the schedule creation process it is possible to select an existing schedule and use it as a template. The new schedule will have a new name and the date range is configurable, but people and all elements assignment will be copied from the selected schedule.
Changes and improvements
People with no elements assigned are not removed from a schedule – In previous versions all people who were assigned to a schedule, but had no activities assigned, were automatically removed from the schedule upon saving. This behavior was changed. Now, all people assigned to a schedule, will stay assigned, irrespective of the activities assigned to them.
Indication of the 'Hide non-working people' filter – A red dot indicates that the filter was applied and that all people with non-working activities assigned are currently hidden. This visible reminder prevents the user from forgetting that the filter is applied and potentially overlooking assigned people.
New staff requirements chart – Now, the predicted staff requirements, with and without shrinkage applied, are presented on the same chart, but in two different colors.
Text style unification – To improve the look of the schedule table, the text style on the schedule elements was unified.
Naming unification – To unify naming conventions within the application, the Edit Person button's name has been changed to Update Person and the Scheduling screen has been changed to Create New Schedule/Edit Schedule/View Schedule (depending on the selected action).
Possibility to view/edit a forecast based on the URL address – Now it is possible to access and view or edit a specific forecast using a dedicated URL address. A user no longer needs to log into the application and navigate through the application in order to view the relevant screen.
