User Import From UCCE, UCCX, CUCM
Automatic import of users and groups from UCCE/X servers into Eleveo User Management is facilitated by Data Importer software. There are two types of Data Importers: one dedicated for UCCE only and another for UCCX only. Each of them can be configured to pull data from several servers at once. The Data Importer periodically connects to the UCCE/X server and pulls users and groups, then connects to the Eleveo User Management server and uploads the data there. These users and groups can be used later by other Eleveo Applications (for example Eleveo WFM).
Connectivity Requirements
Data Importer needs to be deployed inside the same network where the UCCE/X server is; this avoids the need to open additional ports.
Data Importer connects to the Eleveo User Management server (myeleveo.com) on port 443 – to ensure that the application functions properly enable connectivity between the Data Importers and myeleveo.com (open port 443 on your firewall; or if there is a proxy in use, configure the proxy as needed).
Configuration Process
The configuration process to automatically import users and groups consists of several steps, performed in the following order:
Deploying and configuring UCCE User Data Importer or UCCX User Data Importer on-premises (based on documentation for the relevant on-premise version).
Please refer to Technical details and limitations of the import.
If this solution is not suitable for your particular installation, a custom solution via API can be used for the import. Details related to the custom option via API are described on the page: Custom Import of Users and Groups Using API.
