Preparing Cisco Webex Contact Center for Integrations

In order to be able to establish a connection between Eleveo and Webex Contact Center, a client needs to be registered on the Webex Contact Center side. The Client ID should be obtained from the Webex Contact Center client configuration and added to the Identity Provider configuration within Eleveo User Management or ETL Management configuration for integrations. Follow the steps below:

Go to the Webex developer site and Sign In using your Webex CC admin credential.

Go to your account and select My Webex Apps.

On the next page click the Create a New App button.

Fill in all required fields. The configuration will differ, depending on what kind of integration is needed:

  • to import users and groups and/or historical data – proceed to Configuring Webex Contact Center for ETL Management

  • to configure Webex Contact Center as Identity Provider – proceed to Configuring Webex Contact Center SSO.

Note that if you plan to import users and groups and/or historical data, as well as configure Identity Provider, two separate integrations need to be added!

Next steps

Copy the Client ID and Client Secret for this integration.

Go to the Adding Webex Contact Center Identity Provider page and continue with step 5 - provide the Client ID and Client Secret in the User Management settings.

Go to the User Import From Cisco Webex Contact Center - old page and continue with step 5 - provide the Client ID and Client Secret in the ETL Management settings.

It is recommended that you copy the values and immediately proceed with the next step! Note that if the Webex console window is closed and reopened, the secret will not be displayed anymore and will need to be regenerated. Regenerating the secret will result in the integration not working (only the newest, most recently generated, the secret should be added in User Management).
